If you have something unique that you regularly buy, that you think we could use in the art room, please send me an email. Mrs. Gray's class recently began canvas paintings of tropical fish. Students are incorporating the elements of line and shape into their paintings, as well as learning about color values and mixing colors. I'm excited to see the students so engaged and excited about coming to the art room to work on their paintings. I can't wait to share with you the finished examples in a few weeks.

Spotlight on Preschool

I am so fortunate to have the opportunity to teach the preschool class at Burr Elementary School. The three and four year old classes come to art every week for a 30 minute art class. The children have been very busy this year exploring different mediums each week in which to create art with. Some of my favorite projects are when we create three dimensional sculptures with recycled supplies. Recently, our preschool friends had the opportunity to create snow monsters from packing peanut puffs. I think you will agree that their creations are amazing!
