Introducing famous artist to children is a great way to appreciate art. Many children have never been to an art museum before, so this is just one way at the elementary level to learn about artists. A favorite artist that children like to learn about is Vincent Van Gogh. We spent some time looking at different landscapes and the styles that they are painted. Students had an opportunity to create their own Starry Night pictures using the same techniques Vincent Van Gogh used. Delaney Arronson from Burr School, did an amazing job on her example. I hope you enjoy the results! ~Mr. Granucci
